Glassdoor.com - Blog: Mac Geniuses vs. Geek Squad CIAs

I'm a geek and damned proud of it! We get paid very well do do something we love. I know that myself and most of my crew love the uniform, and fully embrace being geeks. Robert Stevens created such a fun culture to be a part of. We are smart, we can build robots, rockets and engines, and we have a damned lot of fun doing it.

Interesting article -- thanks for doing the comparison.

Just a nitpick: That's not an iPod around the Mac Genius' neck - it's a nametag / business card holder. Of course, that's not to say they don't have an iPod or iPhone somewhere either in their pocket or in the back room. ;)

If that's a surprise, you should compare it to the firedog technicians at circuit city.

I'm just a bit perturbed that no one has corrected the author of this article on a very basic fact...CIA stands for "Counter Intelligence Agent", not "Central Intelligence Agent". The reason is because these particular employees work the "counter" at the store they work at. Sheesh.....get it right.
